My First Web Page in HTML Reflections
This is the first web page that I have created using HTML code.
Throughout this assignment I had the opportunity to experiment with different HTML tags. Using the different HTML tags, I was able to create my personal web page that included information about myself. After completing the assignment, I presented my web page to the class.
- This assignment consisted of creating a personal website using HTML. My website needed to include information about myself that would help others get to know me better. Besides from information about myself, I was asked to be creative, go beyond the requirements, and experiment with different HTML tags.
- This project required the use of notepad and knowledge of HTML. We drafted our websites in notepad using different HTML codes. Some of the HTML codes that I used for my website included: heading tag, title tag, body tag, ordered list tag, paragragh tag, image tag, etc. After typing all of the tags into the notepad document, I saved my project as a text document as well as a HTML document. The HTML document is what opens the actual web page for viewing.
- This assignment has taught me how to create a website using HTML coding. While creating my website I learned that HTML is extremely tedious and have come to understand the importance of each individual code. Even a small error like an extra space in the code can ruin the entire website. This project has helped me problem solve. It has also taught me the importance of not giving up after only a couple of tries.
- Throughout this assignment I did a good job staying on task. I was quickly able to include all of the information about myself that was required for the project. With the extra time in class I was able to experiment with different HTML tags. I went beyond the requirements for the project and included HTML tags to change the background color to pink, the font color to purple, the font to century gothic, and used the tag to include a picture.
- If I were to redo this project or create another project similar to this one, I would be sure to be careful about saving my work. I encountered several problems while trying to save my work. Several times I saved my work as an HTML document but forgot to also save it as a text document. Therefore when I opened the text document it was missing several elements that were present in the HTML document. I would also try experimenting with different HTML tags to become even more familar with HTML coding.
